My heart in crutches
My pillow in the precious fluid
My dopamine in the negatives

I cherish you
Yet letting go
My only option
In as much as it weakens my myocardium

It’s like
The earth is off its orbit
Like the clouds no longer bring rain

I feast
With no satisfaction
I drink the ocean
Yet my thirst it quenches not
